DESCRIPTION:Open Ateliers Centrum Oost\, October 5 and 6\, 2024\, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Buurtkamer Over de Brug\, Isaac Titsinghkade 123\, 1018 LL Amsterdam \nBuurtkamer Over de Brug is one of the locations of the Open Oost 2024 Art Route. The aim of Open Oost is to connect visitors directly with the work and methods of artists working in and around the Centrum-Oost area. Most works are for sale. \nAt Buurtkamer Over de Brug\, the work of MIA will be showcased: acrylic paintings on canvas and pen drawings of humans and animals\, along with collages made from cut paper. \nAdditionally\, there will be a double exhibition by photographer and neighborhood resident Sander van den Bosch titled ‘Uit de Kluiten’ and ‘Opstaan.’ ‘Uit de Kluiten’ focuses on plants and trees\, while ‘Opstaan’ captures the moment of waking up through portraits.

It will be an evening with presentations\, music\, and film. One of the guests is researcher and historian Erik Odegard\, author of the chapter ‘Slaafhaalders on Oostenburg’ in Slavery in East and West: The Amsterdam Research\, 2020. \nThursday\, September 26\, 2024 Buurtkamer Over de Brug\, Isaac Titsinghkade 123 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM \nFree entry. \nThis event will be conducted in Dutch.

DESCRIPTION:Discover the magic of the Czaar Peter Quarter on September 21 during the Tour de Czaar\, an interactive\, audio walking tour of the highlights of the Czaar Peter Quarter. You will walk a route where you will stop at 15 historical and striking places in the neighborhood. There\, you can click on an interactive map to listen to the history of this place. It’s like listening to an audiobook\, you’ll leap into the vivid past where voice actors narrate a wonderful story. The route starts at the picturesque Kattenburgerplein\, you are guided through the beautiful Van Gendt Hallen and the tour ends at the historic Molen De Gooyer\, where Tour de Czaar participants receive a free beer from Brouwerij ‘t IJ.   \nBetween 12:00 and 18:00 you will be surprised along the way with activities\, live performances\, and cozy market stalls of entrepreneurs and local residents. Cafés will be ready at various points with delicious snacks and drinks.  \nThe official opening is at 12:00 on the Kattenburgerplein. She is an unintentional clown\, cartoonist\, highly skilled artisan\, gardener on her floating garden\, captain of her self-built ship and runs her own magazine OIAAIO. She organises solo exhibitions in very special places in Amsterdam. Her work is nationally and internationally appreciated and has been acquired by several prominent museums.
