And\u00a0it\u00a0is far\u00a0from\u00a0finished.\u00a0 Residents\u00a0regularly\u00a0faced\u00a0disruption\u00a0from\u00a0construction\u00a0traffic, large waste trucks, buildings\u00a0going\u00a0back\u00a0into\u00a0scaffolding,\u00a0and\u00a0cranes\u00a0carrying\u00a0out\u00a0repair\u00a0work.\u00a0 The\u00a0year\u00a0also\u00a0began\u00a0with\u00a0a\u00a0great\u00a0deal of\u00a0controversy\u00a0around\u00a0the\u00a0Werkspoorhal. The\u00a0owner\u00a0wanted\u00a0to\u00a0install\u00a0padel\u00a0courts. This\u00a0directly\u00a0contradicted\u00a0what\u00a0residents\u00a0had been\u00a0promised.\u00a0 Many\u00a0residents\u00a0spoke\u00a0up, shared\u00a0ideas,\u00a0and\u00a0filed\u00a0objections. The\u00a0outcome:\u00a0the\u00a0original\u00a0promises\u00a0will\u00a0not\u00a0be\u00a0fulfilled.
