The experience of growing up in different cultures taught her to adapt to new situations with relative ease. It is also what she enjoys about photography: observing, meeting, and working with people from different backgrounds, all of whom have a story to tell.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after completing her photographic studies in the United States, she travelled to Amsterdam in the mid-1980s. The Eastern Docklands fascinated her, and she decided to stay longer, residing in a squatted warehouse on the Borneokade.
