Foundation Over de Brug and Curinesa Foundation established a book club for Oostelijke Eilanden residents in September 2023. This club reads and discusses books on the theme of the slavery and colonial past because of the colonial history of the Eastern Islands. On June 23, 2024, the book club will discuss the book “ Ongezien Ongehoord, Hindostanen in de Nederlandse koloniale geschiedenis ” in Buurtkamer Over de Brug.
