Wijkwandelingen Oostelijke Eilanden – Neighbourhood Walks Eastern Islands 

Since 2025, wijkwandelingen.nl has regularly organized walks through our neighbourhood,  

with various themes. We explore the neighbourhood together with people who live or work in the area. 

Themes include architecture, history, art, social and community development, culture,  

and exploring green spaces, sports venues, and meeting places. 

We also try, where possible, to visit cultural and community organizations.

Starting April 22, 2026, we'll once again be taking monthly walks led by a neighbourhood guide 

to various locations in the neighbourhood. 

We expect to: 

– see new things 

– learn more about the neighbourhood and its history 

– hear all about art in the neighbourhood and the stories behind it 

– meet neighbours
