Join the conversation about the square at the Zonnewendebrug 

At the Solution Café in de Buurtkamer, the idea came up: give the neighborhood space to come up with ideas within set boundaries. Go talk on the square. 

That’s happening. The project leaders from the Municipality of Amsterdam got started right away. Together with developer SOO and contractor Reimert, they’re carrying out the plan. 

The redesign of Willem Parelstraat offers a unique chance. Work starts in September/October 2025—a perfect time to make the square greener, more pleasant, and more usable together. 

More than 150 residents shared their opinions. Your voice matters. The information was sent to the municipality on Tuesday, June 10.
