A year ago, the municipality took over responsibility for public green spaces from the developers, which gave residents hope. Around the same time, residents conducted a survey on greenery, leading to the development of a 10-point plan for better green spaces in collaboration with experts. The municipality embraced the plan and was supposed to appoint a Project Leader Green Oostenburg by the end of August 2024. 

However, to this day, there is no project leader, and no action has been taken to implement the 10-point plan. The only step the municipality has taken so far is actively encouraging residents to create facade gardens.
