Would you like to make a valuable and social contribution to Oostenburg?  Foundation Over de Brug is looking for enthusiastic volunteers for the Buurtkamer. You are very welcome to work there. Social role

Buurtkamer Over de Brug has an important social role on the Oostenlijke Eilanden. Its purpose is to bring people into contact with each other in an accessible way. The Buurtkamer offers new and current residents the opportunity to meet each other. It is a place where people come together, exchange ideas and enjoy a variety of activities. For example, we organize talk shows, neighborhood gatherings, exhibitions, reading clubs and much more. We also offer the possibility to rent the space for meetings and workshops. Community initiatives can use the community room free of charge. 

Rolling up your sleeves: what kind of volunteer work can you do? 

For just a few hours a week you can volunteer at the Over de Brug Foundation. So are you interested? Then we would like to talk to you to find out what gives you satisfaction and what fits your talents and agenda. The Buurtkamer is looking for people who like to roll up their sleeves now and then to get things done, but also people who want to help shape the neighborhood initiative and set up and run activities and programs themselves. There are several volunteer opportunities:

– preparing, supervising and taking down events;

– helping to organize and support various projects;

– hosting walk-in mornings and evening talkshows;

– contributing to the further design and implementation of neighborhood initiatives;

– take care of communication in a small dynamic team: newsletter, announcements and press releases;

– contributing as a board member to the developments on Oostenburg. 

It is a neighborhood under construction. So the necessary issues require attention. Think of the greenery, the car-free neighborhood and construction work. Or maybe you have your own ideas that we can do something with!
